Dr. Angela Karvounis, D.C. has been treating children with special needs since 2012.  She learned about the Autism Biomedical  Approach treatments for children on the spectrum from the Autism Research Institute under the Defeat Autism NOW! (DAN!) protocol in 2006 at her first conference.  In 2019, the DAN! protocol switched to Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MedMaps.org).  She practiced under the business name Developmental Crossroads for over 8 years but changed her business name to Second Brain Immunity to focus her practice on treating the core issues to many children, the brain and body connection, primarily the gut.  Her focus is on the core cause of many symptoms children are experiencing and her protocols only use natural supplements without the use of medication.  Her focus is children 6 years of age and under but can treat children up to 16 years old. ​
